Full-Time and Hybrid Programs
THE WASATCH FREESTYLE/FREERIDE TEAM

This program is designed for those who want to compete on a full-time basis. Conceived as a competition mogul program, the Wasatch Team has branched out and now produces athletes who excel in 1/2 pipe, big air, slope style and other disciplines as well as moguls.
The team trains at: Deer Valley®, Snowbird and the Utah Olympic Park, which offers night training. Additionally, our new school skiers ride the Terrain Park at PCMR. Team members have the privilege of a season pass at Snowbird and Deer Valley® and the option to have a season pass at the Utah Olympic Park.
With over 80 days of competition and training this team is tailor made to give you what you need to succeed in ski competition. Training at some of the world’s best venues gives us the best possible scenario for success.
With a history for producing young athletes who excel in ski competition, the Wasatch Team will help you realize your goals. In the past few years, Wasatch skiers have had phenomenal results in both New School Park and Pipe competition, as well as mogul competition.
- Wasatch Team has placed three mogul skiers on the U.S. Freestyle Team in the last five years.
- Wasatch Team has produced five medals in moguls and dual moguls at F.I.S. Jr. World Championships in the last three years.
- In the last seven years the Wasatch Team has had at least one skier per year podium at the Jr. Olympics in moguls or dual moguls.
- Our New School Riders have finished in the top 10 multiple times at the U.S. Open in the past five years.
- In 2006, we were named USSA’s Freestyle Program of the Year.

THE HYBRID PROGRAM

The Hybrid Program is a new program designed to be a stepping stone from our weekend programming to our full-time team. This is an opportunity for young people who want to train and compete more, but do not have the academic flexibility to join our full-time programming. These young competitors will ski Saturday and Sunday, many Friday afternoons and have holiday training sessions over Thanksgiving and Christmas. Additionally, there will be training sessions on Wednesday nights at the Utah Olympic Park.
Individual scheduling and pricing can be arranged. Cost will be more than our weekend Saturday and Sunday program at Deer Valley® and less than the Wasatch Freestyle/Freeride team (our full-time program). Interested parents should schedule a meeting with Wasatch Freestyle Foundation Director Jon O’Brien.
